Alvaston & Boulton Bowls Club
Welcome to the website for Alvaston & Boulton. We have been playing Crown Green Bowls at Nunsfield House, Boulton Lane in Alvaston, Derby for over 50 years now.
Bowls is a game that can be enjoyed by anyone of any age, and our membership ranges from 80-odd years down to 18months! All standards are welcome to join as we have teams playing at many levels. We have a very strong junior representation with many at county standard.
The club has ten teams in the South Derbyshire Crown Green Bowls Leagues, four Mens teams (evening), two Ladies teams(evening),two mens Vets teams(afternoon) and two teams in the Floodlit League(evening).We also run two mens teams in the Saturday Burton League(afternoon) and one mixed team in the Belper Saturday League(Lunchtime)
You may fancy sitting in the sun on a warm summer's day, sipping a cup of tea or quaffing down a cool pint after work, waiting for your turn to do battle against opponents from all over Derbyshire. Or you may just fancy socialising and want to make new friends, we have quite a full social calendar, and numerous club competitions and events.
Either way, you will be made to feel at home, so please ring a Committee Member or just turn up at the green and look around to get a feel of what we do. Please use the pages on the right to find out more about us.
